How To Make Greek Moussaka | Akis Petretzikis

The wonderful Akis Petretzikis has a fantastic moussaka recipe using baked vegetables instead of fried to make it that little bit lighter. Delicious layers of potato, aubergine, courgette and beef, all topped off with a creamy béchamel sauce and a handful of parmesan. The perfect tasty teatime treat.

    Lol Greek friends, I love you, but please do stop calling our common dishes as "Greek" in this case by adding a French sauce on it. Mousakka is actually an Anatolian food, like most of the eggplat-meat combinations (Karnı Yarık, Ali Nazik, Hünkar Beğendi etc)

    Made this somewhat successfully… everything was awesome but it felt like there was too much oil in the bottom. Anyone have that problem? Not sure if I need to use less oil for the vegetables or dry the meat more :/
