    Tarah, I think your the perfect girl to ask bc you've played more with ratios as a female vegan. At the end of the day is someone's weight and *how they appear to look determined by how many calories They eat – not macro ratios? **within a whole foods diet – I'm not considering processed food eaters here when I ask this.

  3. i have to make some changes. I have been getting bloated a lot and that is not cool. I usually eat a cooked dinner that consists of steamed mixed veggies and rice noodles. I hate being bloated. I have to figure this out

    Thank you so much for doing these videos! I am not fully raw, vegan of course though, but I feel the same way and fully agree!! I used to feel SO guilty for eating a quarter of an avocado… I have finally removed the guilt and started to follow and listen to my own body as well. At the end of the day, it's ourselves we have to answer to and no one else!
    Your skin looks beyond amazing, and you seem more grounded as well!

    Im not sure what I just watched..that is the commercial before this video, it was from the lilly company (a pharmaceutical manufacturing company) the video was "united caring and discovery", I understand some drugs have helped SOME conditions but… well we know that whole dark underbelly, the end of the video was unsettling, has anyone els seen this video?

    Exactly. It's a journey. can you say…journey gRAWth? ;p were all so different, with diff backgrounds, diff stress levels etc, it's very important to pay attention to what your body is telling you and make adjustments. Being flexible is part of the journey in any area of your life

  20. I'm glad that I watch this video. I had been getting those blood sugar lows frequently and it was making me feel like a failure. I had been incorporating some nuts or seeds into my morning smoothies and lo and behold it fix me right up. I feel more satisfied throughout the day and I don't get those hungry/angry moments any more.

    Good one! Similar experiences to myself. Especialy the "hangry" part which some would insist is due to not enough calories or carbs ha ha. Being more level in that way I think has helped me as a person. I don't feel as ruled by the need to eat. I do still have some work to do though in the area of not letting the subconscious or emotions dictate how much I eat once I actualy start doing (although I accpet emotional hunger exists and don't say its always "bad"). I think that might improve though as I gradulay make my life as I want it. But its not really a fullness issue anymore, so you're right about that. I think you're brain probabaly takes time to adapt to actualy feeling satiated too.
    Still got room to experiment though, I mean I've probabaly almost gone from one extreme to the other (some might say) wherea's you still have a lot of (natural) sweet stuff it seems.

I live in England and when I'm home its alright but if I have to be all day on campus or work and I take my fruits with me I get really cold when eating them. I don't quite know how to go around it..Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Thanks Anita 🙂

  23. What about acne! I've heard ALOT that eating naturals fats will cause acne so I do limit it.
    But I would love to be able to eat a whole avocado guilt free. Lol

    This is great to hear! I'm trying to get myself adjusted to eating a raw diet again (fell off the wagon over the holiday, unfortunately) and I experience serious dips in blood sugar all the time when I was eating raw. But it wouldn't just be hangry, it would be shaky, sweaty panic sometimes even when I'd be rolling around having just smashed a 10 banana smoothie. If you don't mind me asking, do you just increase the amount of avocados and nuts you eat? Thanks! You look great 🙂

  28. This video is oozing with mature self awareness and lightness of spirit. Its lovely. (I found the self love leant an added ease in social settings too, finding that renewed self awareness was starkly contrasted with my previous self consciousness) Holistic wellness starting with listening to the needs of the body's biochemistry has fascinating results.  (fats not just welcome but necessary…) 😉

  30. Great video! This is making me want to try adding more fat into my diet as well. I am usually raw till 4 though so it will be interesting to see if I experience similar benefits. I do feel like I need to eat a HUGE amount of food to be satisfied at the moment and I eat very little fat. Do you get your fat only from coconut and avocado, or also by eating more nuts and seeds? I have a lot of changes to make in my life still to get where I want to be, but I'm slowly working on it. I'm glad you found something that seems to work so well for you!     I've also been adding in a bit more fat like more avos and chia seeds in my smoothies. I'm not fully raw, but I still feel a change. It's all about experimentation, and when it means you get to feel even better, that's awesome!

  36. I LOVE  high carb vegan foods, but I don't feel satisfied without some fat. Particularly avocados. I also still eat cooked food so I also allow myself to eat out at restaurants, which means more fat and salt. I don't cook with oils but sometimes I purchase products that contain a small amount. Maybe this is slowing my results but a lifestyle without some wiggle room would not be sustainable for me long term. However I do find that over time the amount of wiggle room that I need goes down.
