I make it for family dinners, birthdays, and everything in between. I really like the combination of two types of chocolate. Unsweetened cocoa powder is used in the chocolate cake and a dark chocolate (semi sweet or bittersweet) is used in the frosting.

    I just made this and my cakes sunk in the middle and stuck to my pans. I could of maybe added to much baking soda/powder and although I did spray my pans with non-stick spray special for baking and floured them I'm not sure I could of maybe added more flour.
    Either way the actual cake was fluffy but kind of bland and not what I was looking for for my daughters birthday.

    Had to make it after reading all these wonderful reviews! It turned out great. Such a simple recipe and I had all the ingredients 🙂 I made it without the frosting because it was just a late night treat but it still tasted great!

  12. hi stephanie! a salute to you. i jst want to know if is it okey if im gonna can double the recipe and bake it in a one bigger rectangular pan maybe 9×13 without changing the texture pf the cake? please let me know. i really need ur advise if its okay for you. Thank you very much in advance.

    i am.so happy with this recipe. i baked yesterday and the result is absolutely very soft delicious chocolate cake. this is very simple procedure and the ingredients is so simple too. thank you very much. its my first time to bake a cake that i dont find it difficult to make. i bake before and dont like to do it anymore with those recipes but this i bake 2x already since yesterday.
